Welcome to "Without Conscience"

Welcome to Without Conscience, a website dedicated to the explication of theory, research, and societal implications of psychopathy.

Because of a complex and frustrating set of technical and other issues, this site has been dormant for several years. Among these issues was termination of support for this web platform in 19xx, unbeknownst to me or the former webmaster. Although much of its material and links continued to function, we were unable to add new content or to access viewer comments and queries. The situation has changed and the site is undergoing revision and updating. We will continue to use the current platform until completion of the new site. The URL will remain the same: https://www.hare.org.

• Darkstone Research Group (DRG)
  In November, 2019, MHS acquired the assets of Darkstone Research Group (R.D. Hare, President), a forensic consulting and research company that specialized in the development of procedures used for the assessment of psychopathy and for training professionals in the use of these procedures. In 2023, DRG was formally dissolved as a corporate entity.
